The Kitsumkalum are the People of the Robin, and this legacy is reflected in the naming of this new venture. Kitsumkalum Economic Development Group is the majority shareholder and will use JJM’s expertise in civil and marine construction, integrating this experience with First Nations labour and capabilities to pursue and perform construction projects that will provide employment and training to our community members and to build a better future for BC.

JJM is one of British Columbia’s leading heavy civil and marine construction contractors with a well-earned reputation for quality and performance. JJM and its predecessor Miller Contracting have successfully completed over 1,100 major construction projects throughout B.C., Alberta and the Pacific Northwest, ranging in value up to $65 million and with a total unadjusted value over $1.4 billion. These projects have included highways, bridges, ferry terminals, airport improvements, industrial/commercial site development, demolition, landfill closures, pump stations, sanitary sewer mains, steel water mains, environmental remediation, marine structures, dredging, foundation preparation, and ground improvements. JJM has extensive experience successfully managing and executing complex projects with a variety of stakeholders, multiple subcontractors, and stringent environmental requirements.

Robin Constructors will be able to draw on JJM’s strong core of experienced project managers, superintendents and coordinators, backed by seasoned technical and administrative support staff. Robin will be a versatile and innovative contractor with the broad experience and expertise to successfully complete a wide variety of civil work, and to effectively respond to changing conditions or project requirements, solving problems and providing construction solutions to difficult challenges.
